Inconsistent formation date

The infobox says NIH was formed in 1887, but the lead section says it was founded "in the late 1870s". Which one is correct? – numbermaniac 02:09, 24 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I changed it from the late 1880s to 1887 based on the 1987 Lasker Award to the NIH on its centenary. Davids0011 (talk) 10:11, 21 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
